Our Chablis 1er Cru Vau Ligneau

This is a vine planted on a very steep hillside (30 to 50% difference in altitude), facing south/southeast. This vine was planted from 1978 to 1980. It is managed under the strict conditions of the Chablis tradition.
It extends from the bottom of the valley to the end of the hillside. This profile gives it a very interesting character for the typicality of this vintage where the Chardonnay expresses itself wonderfully. The Kimmeridgian subsoil borders on Portlandian at the top of the valley. The fairly closed valley gives a very satisfactory microclimate for good maturity.
